February 28, 2012 Shri Ashok Yadav, IAS, DG Agriculture, visited Radio Mewat on February 28, 2012. Radio Mewat broadcast his interview live and received a very positive feedback from the listeners. Farmers came to Radio Mewat office for an informal interaction and discussed their problems with Shri Yadav. He also became a member of Radio Mewat and advised the Agriculture department to interact regularly with Radio Mewat team and keep them posted on all the new schemes. Mr Yadav was very appreciative of the efforts of Radio Mewat to reach out to the community, He was deeply impressed by the hardwork of the reporters and anchors and promised to provide content and financial support to Radio Mewat
28 February 2012 The teams of Radio Mewat and Gurgaon Ki Awaaz met in Mewat to devise a plan for producing innovative programmes collaboratively, and also to establish themselves as a strong and sustainable CR station in the region.
Mewat: Gurgaon ki Awaaz team visited Radio Mewat campus on 24 February, 2012. This visit provided an opportunity to the members of both the Community Radio Stations to interact with each other.

Radio Mewat celebrated with much gusto and enthusiasm in Mewat, The World Community Radio Day on February 13, a recent event by UNESCO, to commemorate the leaps by this new medium, in bettering the lives of the most backward of communities around the globe.
Radio Mewat celebrated World Radio Day with much zest and enthusiasm. This day was proclaimed by UNESCO to commemorate the role of radio in societal transformation, betterment of people’s lives and highlighting the issues of underprivileged sections of society.
Radio Mewat organised this event with assistance from the local Shikrawa Panchayat. Ms. Hazra Begum, District Council Chairman; Ms. Mohammadi, District Council Membe and Mr. Hakim Ajmal Khan, a well-known writer who has been awarded with the Governor’s Medal graced the occasion. The Mirasis of Mewat, the traditional folk singers from Shikrawa presented a beautiful welcome song.
Hazra Begum, District Council Chairman launched Radio Mewat’s website- www.radiomewat.org. This online platform aims to connect to the global audience to disseminate information about various issues concerning Mewat.
February 2, 2012 In an innovative initiative, Radio Mewat launched the Radio Mewat Mitra’ (Friends of Radio Mewat) campaign from from February 1st. Aimed at reaching out to the people of this backward region, the only community radio station in Mewat provided badges with the Radio Mewat logo at a nominal fee of Rs 5 for individuals, Rs 25 for families, Rs 100 for panchayats and government bodies and Rs 50 for Self Help Groups and NGOs.
